Course Description

This course is an introduction to creating music with a computer. Through hands-on projects and exercises, students will gain understanding of the tools, techniques, and software used in modern music production. Platforms used in the class include Logic Pro X, Final Cut Pro, Finale, and others. From developing an original musical idea to mastering and distributing a final mix, this course provides a sequential and systematic approach to producing music with a computer. Students must have access to Logic Pro X (Mac only) and/or Reaper (Mac and PC) software and supporting equipment. (See instructor for academic pricing.)
