Free throw shooting was the difference in the game.

30 seconds later, WBU was up 12 again (23-11)
For nearly six minutes, the Firestorm pitched a shutout with a 18-0 run
In the final ten plus minutes before the break, WBU scored just seven points
Half number two saw the Pioneers cut their deficit to just one with 12:27 to play
But ACU did not allow even a tie until the final whistle
By night’s end, the Firestorm had gone to the charity stripe 51 times (tied for second most in ACU history)
The Firestorm return to Kansas City for the fifth straight year
