Root Represents Women’s Volleyball As GSAC Scholar-Athlete

Glendale, Ariz.- Recently the Golden State Athletic Conference announced the GSAC Scholar-Athletes for Women’s Volleyball.  Senior Courtney Root represented ACU Women’s Volleyball on the list.

To earn GSAC  Scholar-Athlete honors, a student athlete must be a sophomore or higher, completed one full academic at their school, and have 3.5 cumulative GPA or higher

Root, out of Covington, IN, just concluded her second season in the Firestorm program- redshirting one and playing one.  The outside hitter appeared in eight matches with two starts during the extended 2020 season.  In the classroom, she is working on a degree in business administration.
