Chapel & Worship

Where Hearts Unite and Faith Comes Alive

Tuesdays & Thursdays, 10:00–11:00 AM • The Event Center

Imagine 1,000+ voices lifting together in worship. Picture moments when God's truth hits you right where you are. Experience the power of a community pausing everything else to simply be together in His presence. This is Chapel at ACU—the heartbeat of our campus.

More Than a Requirement—A Rhythm of Grace

Every Tuesday and Thursday from 10–11 AM, something beautiful happens. Classes pause. Schedules align. And our entire campus family gathers to worship, learn, and grow together. It's not about checking a box—it's about checking in with the One who matters most.

What Makes Chapel Special

01

Diverse Speakers

Tuesdays are student-led—your peers sharing their hearts and testimonies—while Thursdays feature pastors, missionaries, faculty, and business leaders bringing fresh perspective.

02

Varied Worship Styles

From contemporary praise to gospel, acoustic sets to traditional hymns, reflecting the beautiful diversity of God's family.

03

Special Chapel Experiences

Throughout the semester, expect creative formats—outdoor worship, prayer chapels, cultural celebrations, and themed gatherings that break the mold.

04

Real-Life Application

Messages that connect Scripture to your actual life—relationships, calling, struggles, and dreams.

05

Community Connection

The one hour each week when our entire campus is in the same place, for the same purpose.

Your 22 & 2 Journey

As part of ACU's holistic formation, full-time students attend 22 of 30 chapels each semester, plus complete 2 service projects. It's a rhythm designed to nurture consistent spiritual growth while allowing flexibility for life's realities.

Why 22? Because transformation happens through consistency, not perfection. Whether you're navigating illness, athletic travel, or other commitments, you have space to miss up to 8 chapels while maintaining a regular rhythm of worship and community.

Worship That Shapes Your Week

Chapel isn't just an event—it's an anchor. Students tell us that Chapel becomes:

The encouragement they needed before a big exam

The challenge that changed their perspective

The worship experience that broke through their struggles

The message that confirmed their calling

The community moment that reminded them they belong

Beyond the Gathering

The spirit of Chapel extends throughout campus life:

Worship Nights

Student-led extended worship experiences that go deeper than the weekly gathering.

Small Group Connections

Deep dive into Chapel themes with friends who challenge and encourage you.

Service Integration

Living out what we learn through hands-on community action and outreach.

Prayer Movements

Ongoing intercession for our campus, community, and world.

I came to ACU thinking Chapel was just another class. Now it's the highlight of my week. There's something powerful about our whole campus worshiping together.

Some of my most transformative moments at ACU happened in Chapel. Years later, I still remember specific messages that shaped my life.

Come as You Are

Whether you're fully awake or still in your morning fog, dressed up or in yesterday's hoodie, on fire for God or wrestling with doubts—you belong here. This is a safe space to encounter God authentically, surrounded by a community that's on the journey with you.

Tuesdays & Thursdays, 10:00–11:00 AM • The Event Center

In a world that never stops moving, Chapel is our sacred pause—a twice-weekly reminder that we're not just earning degrees, we're becoming who God created us to be.
