A Biblical Worldview Framework
You'll be grounded in the Apostles Creed, the narrative of the Bible, and books like Mere Christianity by C.S. Lewis. This isn't just Bible study—it's a framework for understanding everything else you'll learn.
Faith, Reason, and Culture
Explore the human narrative from ancient Greek and Hebrew cultures through several epochs of history to the current American context. Our interdisciplinary approach weaves together theology, history, philosophy, art, literature, and politics.
Know What You Believe and Why
As a Christian, you already believe the Bible is the fully authoritative word of God. We'll teach you the reasonableness of the Christian faith. You'll be able to state your beliefs clearly and defend them persuasively.
Understand Alternate Worldviews
You'll learn biblical Christianity and the reasons for it, but you'll also understand naturalism, pantheism, nihilism, postmodernism, and more. You'll grow in empathy and learn to build bridges for fruitful conversation.
Tackle Difficult Texts
You'll read Augustine, Boethius, and Milton. You'll also read Marx, Hitler, and Hemingway. Being able to scale these difficult texts will improve your ability to interact with all kinds of written works and people.
Engage in Significant Conversations
You'll grow in your ability to really listen to others and express yourself clearly. These are the skills employers value most, whether you're entering business, education, ministry, or any other field.
Grow in Faith and Self-Knowledge
In all your courses, the spiritual life of your own soul will be challenged and nurtured. This isn't education that separates faith from learning—it's formation of your whole person.
Appreciate Art, Literature, and Culture
What a gift to discover how much of life is to be enjoyed when you learn to see beauty in everything. You'll never watch a movie, read a book, or visit a museum the same way again.
Think Differently
In Luke 10:27, Jesus told us to love God with all our mind. When you exercise your mind in a rigorous program like ours, many doors and windows to lifelong learning will be opened, many bridges and highways to knowledge will be constructed.
