Attending in Person?

Guests are not required to have a ticket or RSVP in order to attend the Commencement Ceremony. Seating is available on a first-come, first-served basis. We look forward to welcoming you to our campus.

Event Guidelines

Individuals who engage in inappropriate or disruptive behavior may be removed from the event.

Please do not bring any animals, confetti cannons, food, or drinks (except for water) onto the Football Field.

University commencement ceremonies are special events for all involved. Please show respect for everyone who has come to share in the experience.

Steps for Graduates

Students who are eligible to walk in the commencement ceremony will receive an email from the Office of the Registrar with the following information:

Submit Your Commencement RSVP

Submit the Commencement Ceremony RSVP form before the deadline to confirm your participation.

  • Prior to the ceremony, you will receive a confirmation email with additional information and instructions.

Order Your Cap and Gown

Order your cap and gown prior to the published deadline. Students MUST wear ACU-approved regalia to walk in the ceremony.

  • As our gift to you, ACU will provide a Stole of Gratitude on the day of commencement to wear with your cap and gown.
  • ACU will provide honor cords, as appropriate, on the day of commencement to wear with your cap and gown.

Attend Graduate Check-in

Check in at the Campus Event Center at 5:30 PM on the day of the ceremony. Group photos will be taken during check-in.

Professional photos will be taken during the event. Individual photos will be taken of each student on stage with the university president. These photos will be available to each student to download free of charge.

Students may choose to order announcements and other memorabilia from any vendor they choose. Jostens is one vendor that provides an assortment of memorabilia. ACU does not require or endorse the purchase of merchandise from any particular vendor.
