Teaching How to Learn - Level 1

This introductory course provides the foundational methodology of NILD Educational Therapy, focusing on training students how to learn by developing cognitive competencies. The course emphasizes three core components: philosophy, assessment, and intervention. Participants explore the belief that all learners can improve in cognitive, academic, perceptual, and emotional functioning, and learn to identify patterns of strengths and weaknesses through formal and informal assessments. Students are introduced to NILD techniques and begin designing individualized intervention plans that target specific learning needs, including early literacy and cognitive skill development. Upon completion, participants are prepared to begin implementing educational therapy under supervision. (Presented through NILD – the National Institute of Learning Development.)
