About This Program

Sport is a global industry, and behind every game are people managing teams, venues, events, finances, and brands. ACU’s Sport Management degree prepares you to be one of them — with a deep, twelve-course major that covers the whole field and a three-semester practicum that puts you in the industry before you graduate.

You’ll study sport governance, communication, promotion and sales, law, ethics, facility and event management, finance, and international sport, then tie it together in a senior capstone. A built-in Business Administration concentration adds the business fundamentals — management, marketing, accounting basics, and business ethics — that make sport managers effective. The result is a graduate who knows both the sport and the business of running it.

Throughout, a Biblical Worldview frames sport as a platform to steward well and the people in it — athletes, staff, and fans — as worth serving. You’ll graduate ready to lead in athletic departments, leagues, venues, agencies, and beyond.

Sport Through a Biblical Worldview

The business of sport carries real influence and touches a lot of people — and a Biblical Worldview shapes how you steward both.

Stewarding the Platform of Sport

Sport has enormous cultural reach. Treating that platform as a trust — used to build community and serve people — reframes the work from chasing revenue to stewarding influence well.

Grounds your leadership in serving fans, athletes, and communities.

Integrity in a High-Stakes Industry

Money, fame, and competition create real pressure to cut corners. A dedicated sport-ethics course and a Biblical Worldview make integrity central to how you lead.

Prepares you to lead sport organizations people can trust.

People Over Profit

Athletes, staff, and fans are people, not just revenue streams. Seeing them as image-bearers reshapes how you manage organizations, events, and the people who make sport happen.

Anchors your management in the dignity of the people involved.
