Course Description

BIB 320 is a focused study of the Gospels and the person at their center. The course walks through Jesus' life, ministry, teaching, death, and resurrection — and presses the question of what those events still demand of readers today.

Less about debating questions of authenticity and more about understanding what the Gospels actually present, the class moves through the four accounts with attention to their distinctive emphases. You'll trace Jesus' major teachings and parables, examine the passion and resurrection as the climax of the narrative, and work toward applying His principles to everyday life.

BIB 320 is one of the upper-division courses in the Certificate in Biblical Studies, building on the foundation laid by BIB 100, BIB 221, and BIB 222.
