BIB 370 is a focused, full-course study of the doctrine that sits closest to the center of Christian theology: the Trinity. The course examines the doctrine from four angles — theological, historical, exegetical, and philosophical — so students leave with more than a slogan.
You'll work through the biblical material that grounds the doctrine, the historic creeds and controversies that articulated it, the systematic connections to related Christian beliefs, and the philosophical and apologetic questions that get raised about it both in classical Christian thought and in contemporary skepticism.
Few Bible programs make room for a whole course on a single doctrine. BIB 370 does, and it pairs naturally with BIB 304 Theology — where Theology surveys the whole landscape, this course pitches a tent at one of the most important locations on the map.
