The senior capstone — a small-cohort synthesis of your discipline, your coursework, and the direction you're stepping into.
BIB 490 is the culminating course of the Biblical and Theological Studies major and the capstone of ACU's liberal arts education. Senior Bible majors meet in small classes of 10–12 students, each drawn from the same academic discipline, to make connections that the rest of their education has been building toward.
The course is built around three kinds of synthesis: across the disciplines that have shaped students' education, across the specific courses they've taken in the major, and between the academic work and the path they're stepping into after graduation — all framed by a biblical worldview and the conviction that God's truth holds these threads together.
The small-cohort format matters. Capstones don't work as overflow lectures; they work as the room where seniors sit close, talk seriously about what their four years actually added up to, and start to articulate where it leads.
