A education course at Arizona Christian University.
This course provides the methods used in various areas of elementary and secondary school mathematics curriculum. Emphasis is placed on the different approaches to the teaching of mathematics in the classroom, from conceptual to practical. In other words, this is a methods course for elementary and secondary school teachers. It is not intended to teach mathematics content. That is another course (MAT 205). Arizona Math Standards will be used for lesson preparation. This course is taught with a biblical worldview touching on essential questions such as "What is truth?" "What is beauty?" "What is justice?" and "What is goodness?"
Practicum Required: 15 hours (including 1 lesson).
