Course Description

ENG 101 is the foundation course for college-level writing at ACU. Students learn to construct written arguments — tailored to a variety of academic and professional situations — while strengthening the grammatical concepts that hold strong writing together.

The course culminates in a formal essay where students put forth an argument and defend it using basic research and argumentation. By the end, students aren't just able to write a paper — they understand what makes writing work and can do it on demand.
