Course Description

In this course, students will learn to read and appreciate Latin poetry by translating a portion of Virgil's Aeneid. In addition to translation, students will discuss and explore other aspects of Latin poetry including history, culture, mythology, and other literature, and the study of figures of speech and meters which constitute much of ancient poetry genre.
