Course Description

In this course, students will develop their skills in reading and translating Latin poetry including portions of Ovid's Metamorphoses. In addition to translation, students will discuss and explore other aspects of Latin poetry including history, culture, mythology, and the study of figures of speech and meters which constitute much of the ancient poetry genre. Students will be evaluated on memorized recitation.
