Lopez Voted GSAC Offensive Player of the Week
GLENDALE, Ariz. – ACU men’s soccer forward German Lopez has been voted Golden State Athletic Conference (GSAC) Men’s Soccer Offensive Player of the Week according to an official release from the conference office earlier today.
Already ACU’s all-time leading goal scorer, Lopez kicked in both Firestorm goals in a 2-0 shutout of The Master’s University last week. The pair of goals moved his team-leading season total to four in seven games played.
Head Coach John Powell said of Lopez, “German is a top attacking player in the GSAC and this award is extremely fitting. He worked very hard in our training sessions leading up to our match last week and his performance reflected just that. He is a player full of confidence right now and I can’t wait to see what he will continue to do in conference play.”
