Women’s Golf Concludes Spring Season at GSAC Championships

SUN CITY WEST, Ariz. – The Arizona Christian University women’s golf program concluded its spring season today at the three-round Golden State Athletic Conference (GSAC) Women’s Golf Championships played between April 26-28 at Briarwood Country Club.

ACU did not compete as a team and had three individuals compete, led by Katie Goodwin who finished 12th overall (+44).

Team Scores (Final After Three Rounds – Par 72):

1. OUAZ: 325 + 317 + 323 = 965 (+101) 

2. Vanguard University: 341 + 332 + 315 = 988 (+124) 

3. William Jessup: 350 + 370 + 350 = 1,070 (+206) 

4. Hope International: 352 + 359 + 368 = 1,079 (+215)

5. The Master’s University: 377 + 380 + 370 = 1,127 (+263) 

ACU Individual Scores:

1. Goodwin: 86 + 87 + 87 = 260 (+44)

2. Mia Guevara: 90 + 88 + 90 = 268 (+52)

3. Kylie Begay: 92 + 89 + 88 = 269 (+53)

Head Coach Kristal Parker said, “Another season has wrapped up today at Briarwood.  The windy conditions and challenging greens did not breed particularly low scores, but we are already excitedly looking forward to next season when we will compete as a team with a full roster.”
