DeSantis Swims To NAIA All-American Honors
Glendale, Ariz.- Freshman Jake DeSantis swam his way to NAIA Men’s Swimming All-American honors as recently announced by the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics.
Head Coach Brad Hering commented, “DeSantis trained hard this season. He learned some new mental and technical things that earned him All-American honors.”
Due to the cancellation of the national championship meet, the NAIA selected All-Americans for the year were based on individual qualifying times.
DeSantis qualified for NAIA nationals in the 100 and 200 yard backstroke to become the first All-American for the second year ACU Men’s Swim team.
Individually, DeSantis established new ACU school records in the 100 back, 200 back, and 200 individual medley. As a member of the relay teams, DeSantis helped set four program best times.
