Glendale, Ariz.- On Tuesday, Senior Emma Stevens was selected to the 2020-21 CoSIDA Academic All-America NAIA At-Large First Team.  Stevens was the only NAIA swimmer from the Pacific Collegiate Swim and Dive Conference to earn the honor.

To be nominated by their Sports Information Director and voted through the two tier award process  presented by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA), student athletes must have a 3.30 GPA or higher, be a sophomore or better, completed at least two full semesters at their current school, and have success on the field to match their academic accolades.

Stevens, from Green Valley, AZ, graduated in May after a perfect effort in the classroom working on a degree in biology.  The speedster in the water concluded her four year Arizona Christian career as a five time NAIA All-American.  She finished with eight Firestorm team records- individually the 25, 50 and 100 freestyle and part of all five swim relay fastest times.

Following the 2019-20 season, Stevens was voted CoSIDA Academic All-District.

Emma Stevens- Congratulations on a great career and being voted an Academic All-American!
