Santa Clarita, Calif.- In a game where the Firestorm found themselves down 11 in the first half and up eight in the second half, Arizona Christian was just edged out by The Master’s on Thursday night.

• The Mustangs held the early advantage before the Firestorm took their first lead at 8-7 on a bucket from Hudgens
• A few more lead changes took place but with 8:53 left in the half TMU built a 29-18 edge
• However in a five minute span, ACU used a 13-0 run to move right back ahead
• In the final four minutes of the half, the teams exchanged the lead seven times (38-37 TMU)
• Hudgens topped all scorers with 13 first half points
• Extending back out to a seven point edge for TMU, ACU countered one more time with a 13 point run
• A three pointer and basket “and one” from Flowers and an “and one” from Blackwell gave ACU a 56-48 cushion
• The last lead for ACU came at 60-59 with nine minutes to play
• TMU moved back in front and ACU was within one several times in the closing minutes but could forge a tie
