Arizona Christian Edged Out By OUAZ In GSAC Opener

Surprise, Ariz.- Following a three and a half week break from action, Arizona Christian opened GSAC play at OUAZ on Wednesday evening.  The teams exchanged wins in the first two sets before OUAZ held off ACU in the last two sets.

• ACU was up 3-1 before OUAZ took their first lead
• A block by Monahan and Merlino tied the set at 12-12
• Monahan delivered a kill and a 15-14 ACU edge
• All ties possible from 16-16 to 19-19 before OUAZ grabbed the lead for good in the set
• Jarrett Spartz put down a kill to start the second set
