Third Place Finish To Close Out Fall
Buckeye, Ariz.- Playing in and hosting their final fall event of the season saw Arizona Christian climb into third in the second round and stay there the remainder of the Firestorm Fall Invitational. Round two for the Firestorm resulted in the third lowest team round in the field.

SCORECARD SPOTLIGHTS
- As a team, the Firestorm were second in score on par 4s and top five in both par 3s and par 5s
- Thorsen was tied for first in the field with a one under effort on all the par 3 holes
- Felix was top ten on par four and five holes including tied for fifth (two under) on the long holes
- Thirty-six times Thorsen and Felix wrote a par on their cards
- Not to be left out, Crowder was one under on the par fives (tied for eighth)
- Bowen was tied at the top of the field with 11 birdies
THOUGHTS FROM COACH PARKER
“Really proud of the team this week at our final fall season event. Had a strong field of 12 teams and finished third, which also included finishing in front of two other higher ranked teams. Had a great second round which was our lowest since I have been coaching and very encouraging to the gals. Shout out to Elizabeth for her eighth place finish. A bittersweet farewell to senior Madelyn who will be graduating in December. Madelyn was such a great player to coach and mentor. Her growth on and off the golf course is what makes this job so fulfilling. She was an amazing leader, athlete, and fantastic child of God. Her light shined brightly wherever she went and she truly exemplified gratification for the smallest things in life and always gave God all the glory. She will be dearly missed by all, but we are excited to see what her future holds. The sky is the limit for this young lady! Time to soar Mads, and thank you for blessing all of us!!!”
NEXT UP
The Firestorm will take a few months off from competitive team competition before returning to action in February. Tentatively, Arizona Christian is scheduled to play near Las Vegas, NV, on February 23, 2026.
