Firestorm Open Up Season With A Draw
Glendale, Ariz. – Arizona Christian looked poised for its first game of the season after building a two-goal first-half advantage, but Redlands rallied with two late goals as the teams settled for a 2-2 draw on the road in California.

- Krista Hardesty opened the scoring in the eighth minute, finding the back of the net unassisted to give ACU an early 1-0 lead.
- Arizona Christian continued to apply pressure throughout the opening half, outshooting Redlands 10-5 while controlling much of the attacking play.
- ACU doubled its advantage in the 31st minute when Zoey Stupnik came off the bench and buried her first goal of the season, once again without an assist, giving the Firestorm a 2-0 cushion heading into halftime.
