ACU Fired Up On Senior Night Beats TMU

Glendale, Ariz.- After celebrating their seniors before the match, Arizona Christian came out fired up and beat The Master’s 3-0 on Friday evening.  Serving played a big part as the Firestorm recorded a season high ten service aces against the Mustangs.  Sophomore Chris Beck hit .438 to lead ACU.

• Following a 1-1 tie to start the match, ACU went on a 7-0 run to take control of the set
• W. Hunter had three service aces during the run
• ACU hit .400 in the first set
• Set two was tighter though TMU did not see a lead until 22-21
• But ACU closed the set with a 4-0 run
• TMU scored the first point of the third set
• ACU converted a Mayfield kill and two TMU hitting errors into a lead they enjoyed for the rest of the match
• The Firestorm did not play a fourth for the first time this season
