Inside the Box Score

  • But a five minute scoring drought proved costly for the Firestorm as Carroll moved ahead for the rest of the first half
  • The Fightin’ Saints were ahead by eight before Wilson nailed a three to climb within one with 45 seconds left
  • However, CC answered with a three to head to locker room up four (39-35)
  • ACU forged two ties in the first three and a half minutes of the second half before CC built a 12 point advantage
  • Arizona Christian fought back again and were within one or tied numerous times in the closing minutes
  • With 47 ticks remaining on the clock, a basket from Bowers made the score 80-79 Carroll
  • Unfortunately, the Firestorm came up empty on their final two trips down the floor
  • A finishing record of 24-3 (88.9%) is by far the best winning percentage in documented ACU history

Up Next

With the NAIA claiming 2020-21 as a non-season of competition for winter sports, most of the Firestorm plan to return for the 2021-22 season.  They’ll be back.
