Porchas, Ramirez, Titialii Earn All-GSAC Honors
Glendale, Ariz. – On Monday, May 1st, the Golden State Athletic Conference announced the 2023 GSAC Baseball All-Conference team and Arizona Christian University saw three players earn recognition.
Enrique Porchas, in his first year with ACU Baseball, put up a monster season at the plate. The third basemen brought in 54 runs on a .390 average while slugging .644. Enrique’s 9 homers on the season put him in third place, while his 21 doubles led the team. Porchas also led the team in walks, drawing 41 for an on base percentage of .484.
Justin Ramirez had a historic senior season, taking over nearly every offensive record in the book at ACU. The center fielder posted a slash line of .336/.431/.462 and recorded 108 putouts. Most notably, Justin overtook the All-Time Hits Record in ACU Baseball history en route to his 75 hit season. Ramirez also belted 2 homers and legged out 2 triples this year.
Marques Titialii joined in on the record breaking in his junior year, blasting 18 home runs to claim the single-season record. Titialii led the team in extra base hits with 38, including 3 triples which also led the Firestorm offense. The left fielder also led the team in RBI’s with 69, fifteen more than the second place finisher.
All three players appeared in all 53 games this season. Congratulations Firestorm!
