Arizona Christian Goes 1-1 On So Cal Roadie

San Dimas, Calif. – Arizona Christian Women’s Volleyball split its Southern California road trip, sweeping Life Pacific on Friday afternoon after falling in four sets to La Sierra on Thursday.

Match Notes v La Sierra

  • Against La Sierra on Thursday, the Firestorm held leads in all four sets but came up short in three of them.
  • Zuri Reeser and Madison Sherby each attempted 41 attacks against the Golden Eagles, with Reeser finishing with 15 kills and Sherby adding 10.  Madison Van Wie chipped in 12 kills.

Match Notes v Life Pacific

  • In Friday’s opener against Life Pacific, the set was tied 7-7 before ACU moved in front for good.
  • The Warriors forced an 8-8 tie in the second set before the Firestorm answered with a 9-1 run. Addison Bowie and Van Wie each recorded two kills during the run.
  • ACU opened the third set with the lead and pulled away to a 13-3 advantage.
  • The Firestorm hit .324 for the match with just eight hitting errors.
  • Reeser led ACU with 15 kills and added 17 digs, while Sherby produced 14 kills and 21 digs.
  • Van Wie finished with 11 kills.
  • Becca Thomson dished out 21 assists and Bowie added 19 assists.
  • Kiah Lerma had 16 digs.

Arizona Christian moves to 7-4 overall and 2-2 in GSAC play.
