- Embry-Riddle opened the scoring just 3:52 into the match when Jamie Brandon found the back of the net.
- The Firestorm quickly answered, however, as Cadence Peroff scored at the 9:41 mark to level the match at 1-1. The goal marked Peroff’s fourth of the season and gave ACU an early offensive spark.
- The Eagles regained the lead just 17 seconds later, with Tessa Updegraff scoring in the 10th minute.
- Embry-Riddle added another goal from Brandon in the 40th minute to take a 3-1 advantage into halftime.
- The Eagles added four goals during the second half, including scores from Ella Carnahan, Updegraff, Molly Newlin and Brandon.
- ACU lost against Embry-Riddle, 1-7.
