Tchiakpe’s Brace Powers Firestorm To Shutout Victory Vs Warriors
Pomona, Calif. – Arizona Christian delivered a dominant second-half performance, scoring three unanswered goals to secure a 3-0 shutout victory over Life Pacific. Led by Nathan Tchiakpe’s two-goal performance and Elijah Meade’s goal, the Firestorm improved to 4-4-2 overall and 3-2-0 in conference play.

- The Firestorm controlled much of the offensive pressure in the opening half, outshooting the Warriors 3-3 while earning four corner kicks.
- Despite creating opportunities, neither team was able to find the back of the net, sending the match into halftime scoreless.
- Both ACU and LPU were tied heading into the half, 0-0.
- ACU wasted little time breaking the deadlock in the second half.
- In the 50th minute, Tchiakpe opened the scoring off an assist from Garcia, giving the Firestorm a 1-0 advantage and setting the stage for an explosive offensive stretch.
- Just over six minutes later, Elijah Meade doubled the lead in the 56th minute, finishing a play set up by Garcia and Tchiakpe.
- The Firestorm continued their offensive surge, striking again just 63 seconds later as Tchiakpe netted his second goal of the afternoon off an assist from Nikarro Williams to extend ACU’s lead.
- ACU defeated LPU, 3-0.

“GSAC matches on the road in California are always difficult. We had our work cut out today for us against a compact and organized defense. Our guys stuck together and stayed focused against any interference and found a way to create a few chances when we needed it. I was even more proud of us keeping a shutout and limiting their chances today. We have a big challenge ahead of us Saturday and we will work to recover and prepare to give another great effort.”
