Field Athletes Strong Showing For ACU
Mesa/Phoenix, Ariz.- Running in the annual two day, two location, and two name event hosted by Paradise Valley CC, Arizona Christian made the most noise in the field events on Saturday. The distance runners enjoyed a night under the lights on Thursday in the Distance in the Dark while the rest of the team participated in the Cody McBride Invitational on Saturday.
In the field events of the Cody McBride, Gabe Johnson placed fourth in javelin while moving into third place on the GSAC season distance list. Savion DeGraffe placed third in the high jump and sixth in the long jump. Tommy Cruz (pole vault) and Jamel Shaw (shot put) both claimed a third place finish. Joshua Collier was the lone runner to place third.
