Everything you need to know about completing your degree and walking in commencement.
There is one commencement ceremony per academic year at which Arizona Christian University publicly confers degrees. Participation is open to students who have completed all graduation requirements for their specific degree program during the current academic year, as evidenced by an official audit by the Office of the Registrar.
The university encourages all eligible students to participate in the commencement ceremony.
Students eligible to participate will be notified in writing that they have been tentatively cleared to walk. Students completing their degree in the summer term will be invited to walk in commencement if they are fully registered for all remaining courses in the summer term.
If you are transferring credits from another institution, the Office of the Registrar must receive your official transcripts with a grade of C or better no later than mid-term of the spring semester.
Alternatively, you must have a Transfer Course Approval form on file and provide proof of registration showing the course will be completed during the current spring and/or summer semester.
Transfer credits that do not meet these deadlines may delay your eligibility to walk in commencement. Contact the Office of the Registrar as early as possible if you have transfer credits in progress.
Permission to participate in the commencement ceremony does not constitute the granting of a degree or a guarantee thereof.
While all names will be read aloud as students walk across the stage, no degree will be granted until all requirements are completed. Once the Office of the Registrar determines that all requirements have been fulfilled, the degree will be awarded and the student will be notified by email.
